The Prettiest Fish in the Pond

Today my daughter got her ears pierced and she was so proud of herself and thought she looked so pretty with those Garnet stones in her ears sparkling... I had wanted to paint another Koi today, have another go at it... Well I decided to paint a pretty Koi cause today my daughter was "The Prettiest Fish in the Pond" . Have a good night :)

Just keep Swimming

I wanted try painting something similar to the skulls that have sold without just being skulls, something I could still display at the donut shop without worrying what people might think. So I looked up Koi tatto art to get a better idea as to how the body was shaped how to position it and really just discovered that there is allllll kinds of ways to paint a Koi. Truth be told this Koi is longer and leaner then I ment for her to be, but I think if I had used a bigger canvas it would have turned out more like I was thinking... do you know how hard it is finger paint scales ?? The background I love and the only thing I would change is I would make all the flowers like the one to the upper left corner that is kinda inside the water a bit. I love what dimension it gives it. The title Just keep swimming is kind of a nod to a friend in college that when we were taking a test or something I would say that sometimes and he never let me forget it. He still on any e-mails ends it with Just Keep Swimming.. I will be doing more Koi I think and in time I should get better at them, they are so beautiful and fun to do. Hope you have a great day ;)

Everlasting Smile

I did decide to paint befor the kids went to bed and did yet another skull... Im not sure how I keep painting skulls with smiles but it just happens. This one looks kind of Flirty to me. but I do like how the expression plays with the look of the painting

Last Nights Work

As my "Under the Thorns" painting sold so quickly I decided to paint a similar Skull painting. Of course the next day I get an order from a now 3 time buyer that she wants one like the sold one that is the same size and pretty close to the same picture. Well I used my last canvas of that size (20x24) on my painting I completed last night and no one sells that paticular size in Canvas board around here so I am going to have to order more on line. Not that Im complaining, just a hine sight 20 20 sort of thing. I am vary happy with my finished piece from last night and feel it wont be long befor it to is sold if exposed to the right buyers. I cant tell you how much I am enjoying this, and how great it feels to have people from all over the US .. not just local but in several states ordering my finger paintings. Really makes me feel like Im doing something right and its not just me thinking they look good as we all look at anything we are proud of and think. I would still do my art work no matter what people thought but .... probably on smaller canvases.. Giggle. Have a great night whoever is reading ;)

Todays works, I smeared some green shades on the canvas and it started to look like a dinasour to me so I ran with it and here it is "Nessy" after the Loch Ness monster. The other day I did the Farmer Joe Donut Logo I designed for the donut shop in finger painting form. And the other Picture is of my multi colored fingers after Painting Green in life. Hope You like it... will probably paint a bit tomorrow :)

Tomorrow I Will Be 28, what ever will I paint

I did not paint today, my heater was broken and I spent the day running about with my fience Josh and had an early birthday Lunch with him. Tomorrow I will Paint after my kids basketball games in the morning, I am thinking of doing a piece in Green with hints of Blue... but here I am pretending that I Plan my paintings but that is typically untrue. Unless pre ordered I usually stare at the canvas till a color comes to me then I squeeze some on my finger and begin to smear... What I am smeering I never know till I am deeperin.. It always comes out on its own, could be flowers, abstract, a skull, a face... I never know.. Sometimes I have an order but typically its a request of colors and maybe a similarity to something I have done before, something that drew them to me.. a piece that felt like they connected too. These usually are my larger pieces and I am always happy with. I Love the way I dont plan though and that was a lesson I learned from my fience ... KISS... Keep It Simple Stupid... has taken so much stress out of my work, and he Loves to watch me Paint. Well the heater is now fixed and we are warm again and I am heading to bed. If you are reading .. Have a great night
